Senior Interior Designer

Senior Architectural Interior Designer Kari Whitman Interiors is an upscale interior design-build firm recognized for creativity, innovation, and exceptional execution in both residential and commercial spaces. We are seeking an experienced Senior Architectural Interior Designer / Project Manager to join our collaborative team in Boulder, CO. This role is ideal for a highly organized and design-driven professional with strong AutoCAD expertise, project management experience, and the ability to lead projects from concept through installation. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment and is passionate about delivering high-end design solutions with precision and professionalism. This is NOT a remote or hybrid position — we work collaboratively in-office in Boulder, CO. Duties of Senior Architectural Interior Designer / Project Manager: • Lead design development and project execution from concept through completion • Produce detailed construction drawings and documentation using AutoCAD • Manage project timelines, budgets, vendors, consultants, and subcontractors • Coordinate client communication, presentations, and project updates • Oversee sourcing of materials, finishes, furnishings, and fixtures • Review FF&E schedules, specifications, and design documentation for accuracy • Conduct site visits, installations, and project walkthroughs • Mentor junior team members and support overall studio operations • Ensure projects are delivered on schedule and aligned with design intent and quality standards Requirements for Senior Architectural Interior Designer / Project Manager: • Degree in Architecture or Interior Design required • 5+ years of experience in interior design, architecture, or design-build environments • Advanced AutoCAD proficiency required • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously • Strong knowledge of construction documentation and project coordination • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills • Familiarity with Google Drive, Excel/Google Sheets, and general tech proficiency • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities • Must have own laptop and reliable transportation • Comfortable in a dog-friendly office • Must be willing to work fully in-office (no remote work) Compensation for Senior Architectural Interior Designer / Project Manager: • $70,000–$85,000/year depending on experience • Opportunities for performance-based bonuses and raises • Career growth within a high-end design-build firm Hours: Monday–Friday 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM
