Video Content Creator & Editor (Part-Time, Contractor)

SoliVana is a private wellness spa and a research institute in Redwood City where Silicon Valley comes to reset. We offer nine private wellness suites — float therapy, fire & ice contrast therapy, halotherapy, pressotherapy, EMTT pulsed magnetic therapy, and more. Since 2023, we've served 3500+ clients and earned 300+ five-star reviews. We're hiring a part-time Video Content Creator & Editor (15–20 hrs/week, 1099 contractor) to produce short-form video content for our Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube channels. You'll spend one day per week on-site at our Redwood City location shooting therapy footage, client reactions, and ambient B-roll. The rest of the week you'll edit from wherever you work best. This is a creator role, not a strategy role. We need someone who can shoot beautiful footage on an iPhone, edit fast in CapCut or Premiere, and deliver 8–12 polished short-form videos per week that make people stop scrolling and want to book. What You'll Do • Shoot, edit, and deliver 8–12 short-form videos per week (Instagram Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts) • One 4-hour content capture day per week on-site in Redwood City • Film therapy footage: float tanks, infrared saunas, cold plunges, salt rooms, and more • Capture ambient B-roll: steam, water, salt crystals, lighting, interior details • Record founder soundbites and behind-the-scenes moments for voiceover • Edit with trending sounds, clean captions, and retention-optimized pacing • Color grade and stabilize footage for a premium, calming aesthetic • Organize footage and maintain a content asset library • Repurpose one piece of content across multiple platforms and formats What We're Looking For • 1–3 years creating short-form video content for brands, creators, or businesses • Portfolio demonstrating Reels, TikToks, or Shorts — links required • Expert in iPhone cinematography: you know how to make a phone look like a cinema camera • Fast editor in CapCut, Premiere Pro, or DaVinci Resolve • Native understanding of what works on Instagram Reels and TikTok: hooks, pacing, text overlays, trending sounds • Comfortable capturing content in a spa environment (low light, humidity, salt air) • Self-starter who can work independently with a shot list and minimal direction • Bay Area local — must be available Tuesdays or Wednesdays for on-site shooting • Bonus: experience with wellness, beauty, hospitality, or lifestyle brands Not Required But Nice to Have • Motion graphics or animation skills (After Effects) • Photography skills for still content • Color grading experience (DaVinci Resolve or Premiere Lumetri) • Drone footage experience • Meta Business Suite or paid social ad creative experience Compensation & Logistics $25–$40/hour · 1099 independent contractor · 15–20 hours/week • One fixed 4-hour content capture day on-site (Tuesday or Wednesday) • Remote editing schedule outside of content day — your choice • 3-month initial contract with performance review at 90 days • Potential to grow into a full-time creator role as we scale • One complimentary SoliVana session per month ($130 value) • Start date: Within 2 weeks * What Success Looks Like in 30 Days • 30+ short-form videos delivered and posted • Instagram Reels averaging 3%+ engagement rate • Consistent visual style established across all platforms • Content library of 50+ raw clips organized and backed upWhat Success Looks Like in 90 Days 100+ videos delivered • Instagram following grown from ~1,500 to 3,000+ • TikTok account launched with 500+ followers • Average video view count doubled from Month 1 baseline • 2–3 videos per month hitting 10K+ views organicallyHow to Apply Email spajobs@solivanaspa with: • Your portfolio — 3–5 links to short-form videos you've created (Reels, TikToks, Shorts) • One sentence describing your editing workflow from raw footage to final post • Your Instagram or TikTok handle (personal or brand work — shows your taste)No cover letters.
