Director of Worship and Outreach

Director of Worship & Outreach Arlington, VA 22201 • Full-Time A growing, mission-driven faith-based organization is seeking a passionate and experienced Director of Worship & Outreach to lead dynamic worship experiences while cultivating meaningful community engagement initiatives. This individual will oversee worship programming, develop and mentor volunteer teams, and help create welcoming environments that foster spiritual growth and connection. In addition, this leader will organize outreach efforts that strengthen relationships within the surrounding community and mobilize volunteers for service opportunities. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Worship Leadership • Plan and lead weekly worship services and special events • Coordinate music selection, arrangements, rehearsals, and production elements • Develop, disciple, and mentor worship leaders, musicians, and volunteers • Collaborate with leadership teams to ensure excellence and consistency across services • Support worship environments that engage diverse audiences and musical styles • Participate in creative development including arranging, songwriting, and service planning Outreach & Community Engagement • Organize and execute community outreach initiatives and events • Recruit, train, and support volunteer teams and outreach leaders • Build and maintain relationships with community partners • Help develop new opportunities for local impact and engagement • Support youth and community-focused ministry events • Oversee collaborative community space initiatives and volunteer coordination QUALIFICATIONS: • Strong vocal and instrumental leadership abilities • Experience leading worship teams in live environments • Familiarity with live production tools and church management platforms • Ability to lead, mentor, and empower volunteers and staff • Excellent communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills • Experience working within multicultural environments preferred • Bachelor’s degree preferred • At least 3+ years of worship leadership or ministry leadership experience preferred • Passion for faith, community impact, and team collaboration Technical Experience Preferred: • Planning Center • ProPresenter • MainStage • MultiTracks • IEM and live audio environments ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: • This role requires flexibility, including evenings, weekends, and holiday events.
