Director of Refrigeration - Ammonia

Client operates multiple facilities in Colorado and are focused on operational excellence, plant reliability, food safety, and strategic expansion into additional markets. Must Haves (Hard Requirements) • Strong hands-on leadership experience with Ammonia Refrigeration Systems (non-negotiable) • Experience managing industrial facilities / plant utilities in a manufacturing environment • Knowledge of PSM (Process Safety Management) and ammonia compliance programs • Experience overseeing: • Boilers • Air Compressors • HVAC Systems • Water Pumps / Utilities Infrastructure • Preventative Maintenance Programs • Experience leading maintenance / refrigeration teams • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred (Engineering, Mechanical, Chemical, or related field) • Ability to travel up to 25% as facilities expand Soft Skills • Strong communicator • Calm under pressure • Operationally minded leader • Hands-on / visible leadership style • Strategic thinker with urgency • Team builder / mentor • High accountability • Able to prioritize plant uptime and reliability Shift Schedule Mon–Fri normal manufacturing leadership hours. Must be flexible for off-hours calls, emergencies, plant issues, and occasional weekend support as needed.
