Human Resources Director

Position Overview CBIZ is assisting our client in their search for a Director of Human Resources. The Director of HR will operate with a people first approach while driving talent acquisition/retention, performance management and succession planning. This role will be critical in partnering with cross functional leadership to support employee related matters and other aspects of the employee experience such as compensation and benefits administration. Essential Responsibilities • Lead the recruiting process for attracting and hiring new talent • Oversee onboarding of new employees to ensure a positive new hire experience • Administer benefits and retirement programs by supporting the open enrollment process and partnering with external vendors • Drive the performance review process to enable clear feedback to employees • Create structure around career progression and related compensation plans • Foster a positive employee experience through internal events and community involvement • Provide counsel and guidance to managers around delivering effective performance feedback • Own the HRIS system to ensure all employee data is accurate and properly maintained Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business or a related field • SHRM or HRCI certification preferred • 7-10 years of relevant experience in a general accounting position • Comprehensive understanding of HR best practices, employment law, payroll, and benefits administration • Attention to detail of the highest degree • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite • Experience with HRIS systems Travel This role will require moderate travel to corporate events and various company locations.
