Java Full stack developer

Job title: Sr. IT Application Solutions Architect (Full Stack Engineer) Project location: Washington DC (Hybrid Role need to be onsite). (For couple of days as project Demands it) Job duration:12 Months of Contract Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. IT Application Solutions Architect (Full Stack Engineer) to join a fast-paced Digital Technology & Innovation team. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer with deep expertise in cloud-native application development, microservices architecture, API platforms, and modern full-stack technologies. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Java and Python development, AWS cloud services, reactive programming, and event-driven architecture. This role requires collaboration within Agile/SAFe teams and participation in important planning and technical ceremonies. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications and API platforms • Build cloud-native microservices using Java, Python, and AWS technologies • Develop secure and high-performing RESTful APIs • Implement reactive programming patterns using Spring WebFlux and Project Reactor • Work with AWS services including Lambda, ECS, Fargate, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, Kinesis Streams, Step Functions, SQS, and SNS • Develop and deploy containerized applications using Docker • Implement Infrastructure as Code using CloudFormation • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments • Collaborate with cross-functional Agile/SAFe teams • Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, sprint planning, and PI planning sessions • Ensure application scalability, reliability, security, and performance • Support observability and monitoring initiatives Required Qualifications • 10+ years of software development experience • Strong hands-on experience with Java 17+ and/or Python • Experience with Spring Boot, Spring WebFlux, and reactive programming • Expertise in REST API development and API security using OAuth2 and JWT • Strong experience with AWS cloud services • Hands-on experience with microservices and event-driven architecture • Experience with Docker and containerization technologies • Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies • Excellent communication and collaboration skills Preferred Qualifications • Experience with Angular and/or Ionic Framework • Experience with Dynatrace or similar observability tools • SAFe Agile experience or certification • Experience with API Gateway solutions • Knowledge of concurrent programming and distributed systems
