Manager of Marketing Technology Operations
Morton is seeking a Manager of Marketing Technology Operations to serve as a subject matter expert on marketing technology platforms and the data that powers them. This role partners closely with stakeholders across the organization to provide analytical and operational support for strategic marketing and business development initiatives.
This position offers the opportunity to shape how technology enables strategy, with significant autonomy to customize programming, optimize workflows, and design enterprise-wide solutions. The ideal candidate is a critical thinker who can assess complex scenarios, develop clear action plans, and implement strategies that drive measurable business results.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as administrator for the organization’s intelligence and experience management platform, including recommending and implementing configuration updates, liaising with technical teams and vendors, and managing data imports and integrations.
Configure and maintain system settings, user permissions, and workflows.
Partner with business stakeholders to align platform capabilities with strategic goals.
Collaborate across departments to define data needs and deliver actionable intelligence to end users.
Lead operational support for marketing programs, campaigns, strategic initiatives, and department-wide projects.
Train and mentor junior team members and direct reports.
Manage technology integrations and support the development of data connectors and pathways across platforms.
Develop and document processes, procedures, and best practices to improve operational efficiency and drive user adoption.
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
Streamline platform administration and collaborate with users on enhancements and advanced feature rollouts.
Analyze marketing activities to evaluate return on investment (ROI) and recommend optimization strategies.
Support marketing budget planning and management across departments and teams, including invoice processing, expense tracking, budget analysis, and deadline management.
Liaise with software vendors regarding updates, support requests, feature enhancements, and system maintenance.
Proactively communicate vendor updates, known issues, service disruptions, and release information to internal stakeholders.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field required; advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a professional services environment.
Experience administering marketing technology or experience management platforms.
Experience with software systems and integrations; familiarity with software development concepts preferred.
Experience supporting change management initiatives and driving user adoption.
Experience with Litera Foundation strongly preferred.
Knowledge of data management best practices.
Proficiency with SQL, APIs, data visualization tools, and scripting languages is a plus.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
Strong analytical, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively across diverse stakeholder groups.
Ability to translate complex information into actionable insights.
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
Comfortable working in dynamic, evolving environments.
