Description
Senior Product Manager, Application Product
Chicago Hybrid | B2B SaaS | Legal Tech / Document Workflows
Hybrid in Chicago.
We are supporting a growing Chicago-based B2B SaaS business that is building the next generation of its platform following recent private investment.
The role is focused on complex application workflows in a document-heavy environment. Users need to collect, organise, review, search, analyse, and act on large volumes of information, often in high-stakes legal and litigation workflows where accuracy, usability, reliability, and trust matter.
This is a senior individual contributor role. The team is looking for someone who can shape product strategy, not just execute a roadmap. The right person will be able to identify customer and business problems, influence stakeholders, break strategy into a clear roadmap, and connect product decisions to measurable outcomes.
What You’ll Own
Product strategy and roadmap for complex application workflow areas
Customer discovery and problem definition across document-heavy workflows
Prioritisation across customer needs, business goals, technical constraints, and delivery trade-offs
Close partnership with engineering, design, customer-facing teams, and product leadership
Workflow improvements around search, review, metadata, permissions, collaboration, automation, and AI-enabled capabilities
Product outcomes tied to adoption, efficiency, customer satisfaction, revenue, retention, or operational improvement
Relevant Backgrounds
Strong candidates may come from:
eDiscovery or litigation platforms
legal technology or legal workflow software
document management or content management
knowledge management or collaboration platforms
legal research, drafting, or AI products
contract lifecycle management or legal operations
compliance, investigations, forensics, or regulated document review
enterprise search, metadata, permissions, or document intelligence platforms
What They’re Looking For
Senior product management experience in B2B SaaS or complex workflow software
Strong product strategy and roadmap ownership
Evidence of identifying problems proactively, not just taking requirements
Ability to influence senior stakeholders and align cross-functional teams
Experience connecting product decisions to customer and business outcomes
Comfort working with engineering and design on complex workflow problems
Experience in document-heavy, data-heavy, regulated, legal, compliance, or enterprise environments
AI, search, metadata, document intelligence, workflow automation, or legal tech experience would be a strong plus
