Description
A preeminent alternative credit manager is adding a Senior Associate to its opportunistic credit team. The firm runs a multi-billion dollar strategy with a broad mandate across the US corporate credit spectrum, and is well-regarded for the quality of its investment process and the caliber of its team. This is a rare opportunity to join a seat with genuine capital markets breadth - spanning performing credit through to distressed and post-reorg situations - with direct exposure to senior investment professionals and meaningful involvement in the investment process from day one.
Responsibilities
• Analyzing and investing across US corporate credit, including high yield bonds, leveraged loans, CDS, and reorganization equity
• Fundamental credit analysis, financial modeling, and capital structure work across performing and distressed situations
• Developing investment theses and presenting recommendations to the investment committee
• Monitoring portfolio positions and engaging with management teams, advisors, and creditor groups
Background
• 3–6 years' of experience in credit investing, leveraged finance, or restructuring advisory
• Strong understanding of US corporate credit markets and credit documentation
• Exposure to distressed situations and/or Chapter 11 processes preferred
• Exceptional analytical and communication skills
