CNC Programmer – Aerospace Manufacturing Location: Bohemia, NY Pay Rate: $55.00/hour ST Overtime: $82.50/hr Travel Bonus: $1,000.00 Per Diem: $1,134.00 per week Saxon is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer for a long-term opportunity in Bohemia, New York. This position is ideal for a skilled manufacturing professional with aerospace machining experience and expertise in 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC programming. Key Responsibilities • Develop and implement 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC programs from engineering drawings, solid models, and CAD files. • Optimize existing CNC programs to improve quality, efficiency, and cycle times. • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to implement process improvements. • Work with tooling vendors to evaluate and introduce new tooling technologies and machining methods. • Analyze and resolve machining and programming issues using data-driven methods. • Support and collaborate with CNC programming teams to ensure best practices are followed. • Test and implement software updates to maintain program integrity and manufacturing performance. • Partner with engineering, quality, and operations teams to achieve production and quality goals. Qualifications • Experience with Siemens NX CAM or similar CAD/CAM software. • Minimum 5 years of CNC programming experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment. • Strong experience with 3, 4, and 5-axis machining and mill-turn equipment. • Proven process development and troubleshooting skills. • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities. • Ability to collaborate effectively with employees, management, and customers at all levels. • Technology-driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
