Software Engineer

Software Engineer - Metro Detroit, MI Venteon is currently seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join a systems integrator company in the Metro Detroit area. This role is ideal for candidates with strong C# development experience and exposure to automation technologies such as HMI and PLC programming. Position Overview As a Software Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain software solutions for robotic integration and automation systems. You will work cross-functionally to support advanced manufacturing and engineering initiatives. Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain C# programming for robotic integration systems Develop and support VBA macros and Python scripts for automation Utilize CAD/CAM APIs and import data from ALPHACAM Implement kinematic models, including singularity avoidance and multi-axis trajectory planning Create software-in-the-loop simulations to validate programming accuracy Evaluate and integrate third-party libraries to enhance system capabilities Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field 3+ years of experience in C# development Experience with VBA automation and Python scripting Exposure to CAD/CAM software (preferred) Experience with robotics, robot programming, PLCs, and HMI systems
