Chief Operating Officer - Healthcare/Legal

We specialize in managing the operational side of medical-legal collaboration — connecting healthcare professionals with legal teams, coordinating records and treatment documentation, and ensuring a seamless experience for all parties involved. Position Summary We are seeking a strategic and highly organized Chief Operating Officer (COO) to oversee and optimize the day-to-day operations of our growing organization. The COO will play a critical leadership role in scaling operations, improving workflows, managing teams, and strengthening relationships across the medical and legal sectors. This role is ideal for a leader with experience in healthcare operations, legal support services, case management, medical coordination, or professional services environments. Key Responsibilities • Lead and oversee daily company operations across client services, case coordination, provider relations, and administrative teams • Develop scalable systems and operational processes to improve efficiency and client experience • Manage relationships with physicians, medical providers, attorneys, and strategic partners • Ensure timely coordination of medical records, case documentation, scheduling, and communication between parties • Build operational KPIs and reporting systems to measure productivity, turnaround times, and service quality • Recruit, train, and manage operations staff and department leaders • Collaborate with executive leadership on strategic planning, growth initiatives, and expansion opportunities • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, privacy standards, and applicable healthcare/legal regulations • Identify operational bottlenecks and implement process improvements • Support business development efforts by strengthening referral and partner relationships • Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA, MHA, JD, or healthcare administration background preferred • 5+ years of senior operations leadership experience • Experience in healthcare, medical practice management, personal injury, legal support services, insurance, or case management strongly preferred • Strong understanding of medical documentation workflows and client service operations • Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and scale operations • Exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational skills • Experience with CRM systems, case management platforms, and operational reporting tools • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, relationship-driven environment Preferred Experience • Medical-legal industry experience • Personal injury or workers’ compensation case coordination • Physician liaison or healthcare network management • HIPAA compliance oversight • Vendor and provider contract management What We Offer • Competitive salary + performance bonus • Leadership growth opportunities • Flexible work environment • Health benefits and paid time off • Opportunity to shape and scale a rapidly growing company How to Apply Please submit your resume and a brief cover letter outlining your operational leadership experience and any relevant healthcare or legal industry background.
