Cosmetologist/colorist/barber/hair extension/braider/nail technician

Job Summary We are seeking a talented and energetic Cosmetologist, Colorist, Barber, Hair Extension Specialist, Braider, or Nail Technician to join our vibrant salon team. In this role, you will deliver exceptional beauty services that enhance our clients' confidence and style. You will utilize your expertise in hair styling, coloring, extensions, braiding, nail care, and makeup to create personalized looks that leave clients feeling beautiful and empowered. Responsibilities • Provide a wide range of beauty services including haircuts, coloring, styling, hair extensions, braiding, nail care, eyelash extensions, and makeup application. • Consult with clients to understand their desired looks and recommend suitable treatments based on hair type and personal style. • Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in all work areas following salon protocols. • Utilize salon software such as MINDBODY for appointment scheduling, client records management, and retail sales tracking. • Upsell retail products like hair care items, styling tools, and skincare products to enhance client results and increase revenue. • Stay current with the latest beauty trends, techniques in color theory, haircutting styles, and nail art to provide innovative services. • Assist with front desk duties including greeting clients, managing appointments, and answering customer inquiries with excellent communication skills. • Mentor junior team members to foster a collaborative and skillful environment while maintaining store management responsibilities as needed. Qualifications • Valid cosmetology or barbering license as required by state regulations. • Proven experience in hair styling, coloring (including hair extensions), braiding, nail care or related beauty services. • Strong knowledge of sanitation standards and safety procedures within a salon setting. • Familiarity with salon software such as MINDBODY or similar platforms for scheduling and retail management. • Excellent communication skills with the ability to understand client needs and provide personalized recommendations. • Ability to perform retail math calculations for upselling products effectively. • Experience with eyelash extensions, makeup application, hair threading, and store management is a plus. • Passion for continuous learning about new techniques in hair styling, color theory, nail art, and customer service excellence.
