Description
Amazing opportunity to work for a CaaS company based out of Miami in Florida. This is an on-site role in Miami, with client visits in the local area.
As Professional Services DevOps Engineer / Miami Resident Engineer you will support customer implementation, application migration, cluster installation, configuration, troubleshooting, repair activities, and customer acceptance of solutions.
You will have solid experience with Kubernetes, Containerization and Linux.
This is a hands-on, customer-facing role focused on helping customers successfully deploy, operate, and adopt containerized applications. The engineer will work closely with customer technical teams to understand business objectives, establish implementation expectations, communicate progress clearly, and deliver a consultative, value-added experience throughout the engagement.
Professional Service Engineer
Salary: $120,000 - $140,000
Location: Miami with client visits in Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Palm Beach area.
Key Skills
5+ years of Professional Services, Customer Delivery, Systems Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, Site Reliability, or related technical implementation experience.
5+ years of Linux experience, preferably with Red Hat-based Linux distributions.
2+ years of Kubernetes experience, including cluster operations, troubleshooting, and application deployment support.
Experience with Helm Charts, Operators, ArgoCD, Docker image creation, and deployment of containerized applications.
Experience troubleshooting containerized applications and related infrastructure dependencies.
Networking knowledge, including subnetting, 802.1q VLANs, and basic network troubleshooting.
Project management experience, including timelines, milestones, risks, status updates, and customer communication.
Storage and storage networking experience in enterprise environments.
Strong customer communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to mixed technical and business audiences.
Beneficial Skills
Experience in a resident engineer, field engineer, or embedded customer-site technical role.
Experience with Red Hat OpenShift or other enterprise Kubernetes platforms.
Experience supporting application modernization, infrastructure migration, or production workload onboarding projects.
Familiarity with enterprise change management, incident management, and operational readiness practices.
Experience working with mission-critical or highly regulated customer environments.
