Fundamental L/S Equity (Financials Sector) Portfolio Manager – NYC, USA Compensation – $150,000-300,000k draw + formulaic PnL linked bonus Role Description: Our client, a global 20b+ Hedge Fund, is looking to add a Senior Portfolio Manager to their L/S Equity franchise focused on investing in the US Financials Sector. The role will report directly to the CIO, with complete discretion over their book and flexibility to build a team to support them. The group have performed well across the greater Equities function in the last 3 years, with an incredibly stable capital base and desire from senior management to allocate resources to the further growth of this business line. The firm employs a more flexible approach to risk management than many of their peers, allowing successful PM’s to maximise potential opportunities in the market. Ideal candidate: • 5+ years demonstrable track record managing a financial stock portfolio within a Hedge Fund, Asset Manager, Family Office. • Previous experience or ability to manage a book of c.250m+ • Deep fundamental knowledge of US Banks, insurance companies, specialty finance, exchanges, FinTech, Asset Managers etc.. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Exceptional financial modelling and valuation ability • Comfortable making risk-taking decisions under pressure.
