Designer | Remote | Part-Time
2 days per week | 26-hour fortnight
Do you have a passion for print? Can you create front pages that catch the eye and help sell newspapers?
We have an exciting opportunity within our print hub at Newsquest Media Group for someone experienced in producing engaging, high-quality front pages across a range of established print titles.
This is a part-time role, working two days per week, focused on delivering visually strong front pages that reflect sound editorial judgement and a clear understanding of what appeals to print audiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and produce front pages for a variety of print titles
- Use InDesign and Photoshop to create visually impactful layouts
- Apply a strong understanding of what makes a front page stand out on the newsstand
- Work collaboratively within the hub to meet production deadlines.
- Proven experience using Adobe InDesign and Photoshop
- A strong eye for design, layout, typography and visual storytelling
- Experience in headline writing would be advantageous, but not essential.
- Understanding of print front-page design and audience appeal
- Ability to work efficiently and manage priorities within a deadline-driven environment
