Director of Artificial Intelligence

Director of AI Implementation Build on a rapidly growing dual0-use services platform. We're a Special Forces owned operation expanding on our AI and data-analytics line of business, and you'll be a key leader that's critical to the success of our platform and portfolio companies. This is a builder, player-coach role. You'll deliver the first client engagements hands-on, prove the model, and grow into the leader of the team that scales it. You get a built-in client base (our own government programs), real budget, and executive leadership. What you'll do Design and build data pipelines, cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure), dashboards, and applied AI/ML and LLM-integrated solutions for real client problems Own delivery end-to-end: discovery, scope, build, QA, demo, and ongoing support — shipping working systems, not slide decks Map AI use cases across our portfolio and turn them into repeatable, sellable solutions Stand up the delivery playbook (SOPs, QA, tooling) and recruit and lead a team as signed work funds each hire Build a compliance-aware delivery posture (CMMC/FedRAMP) for government work What you bring Senior, hands-on depth in data engineering, cloud (AWS and/or Azure), and applied AI/ML — strong SQL, pipelines, modeling, dashboards, and modern LLM/agentic integration A track record shipping production systems clients depend on, owned end-to-end Player-coach mindset: you deliver today and want to build and lead a team tomorrow Client-facing communication — you can translate technology into business value for executives and government stakeholders U.S. person (U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident), required for the defense track Preferred Familiarity with CMMC, FedRAMP, or NIST 800-171 and on-prem/hybrid design Government contracting or technical-services delivery experience Veteran status and/or U.S. security clearance eligibility
