Position: Senior AWS Cloud Engineer / Cloud Architect Location: Nathrop About Saroe, Inc. This position will work closely with the client’s engineering team. Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior AWS Cloud Engineer / Cloud Architect to lead a large-scale Data Center Exit (DC Exit) initiative. This role will drive the strategy, design, and execution of migrating enterprise workloads from on-premises environments to AWS. You will work closely with application owners, infrastructure, security, and operations teams to deliver secure, scalable, and cost-efficient cloud architectures aligned with AWS and enterprise best practices. Key Responsibilities • Lead data center exit and cloud migration programs from planning through execution • Conduct Migration Portfolio Assessments (MPA) and Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) assessments • Define 7R migration strategies , application dependencies, and migration waves • Design secure, scalable, and resilient AWS target-state architectures • Develop migration blueprints, reference architectures, and landing zones • Implement and guide the use of AWS services, including EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, VPC, ECS/EKS, Lambda, Cloud Formation • Partner with delivery teams on rehost, re-platform, and re-architect approaches • Ensure security, compliance, governance, and cost optimization (Fin Ops) best practices • Oversee migration validation, performance tuning, and post-migration optimization • Provide clear status updates, risk assessments, and mitigation plans to stakeholders • Mentor teams on cloud-native, Dev Ops, and automation best practices Must-Have Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience • 8+ years of hands-on AWS cloud architecture experience • Proven leadership on large-scale cloud migration/data center exit programs • Strong experience with VPC, IAM, EC2, RDS, S3 • Experience with AWS Migration Hub, Application Discovery Service, Cloud Endure • Solid understanding of networking, security, hybrid connectivity, and automation • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Preferred Qualifications • AWS Solutions Architect (Professional or Associate) certification • Experience with multi-account AWS strategies and AWS Control Tower • Strong Fin Ops / cost optimization experience • Exposure to containers, serverless, microservices, and Dev Ops practices • Infrastructure as Code using Cloud Formation or Terraform Why This Role • High-impact enterprise cloud transformation initiative • Opportunity to shape cloud strategy and architecture • Work with senior technical and business stakeholders • Fully remote with flexible engagement Why Join Through Saroe? • Work on real-world, production-grade AI systems • Opportunity to collaborate with strong engineering teams and modern tech stacks • Hybrid work model with flexibility • Saroe acts as a long-term partner, not just a placement firm #J-18808-Ljbffr
