Job Summary
The Recruiter/Generalist is responsible for proactively attracting, sourcing, and integrating top talent to the organization, including effective onboarding and immersion of internal and external candidates. The position will also provide support for HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with senior HR leadership.
Essential Job Functions / Responsibilities
• Manage full-cycle recruiting process for external and internal candidates.
• Guide internal and external candidates through interview, selection, and hiring process, complete and submit appropriate paperwork, ensuring a smooth onboarding process for the candidate.
• Lead effort to develop, implement and execute hiring strategies.
• Partner and collaborate with all levels of management across all lines of business to understand job qualifications and candidate fit.
• Participate in job fairs and other recruiting activities and initiatives.
• Support the Human Resources department in annual initiatives including but not limited to salary administration, performance management, benefits administration, and audits.
• Analyze and use HR metrics, such as turnover, time system data and overtime reports, to determine appropriate action; including workforce planning and forecasting.
• Assist in the maintenance, development, and administration of policies, procedures, and job descriptions to improve efficiencies and align with the strategic goals of Synagro.
• Provide field support in regard to day-to-day activities, exit interviews, Ulti Pro actions, employee relations, and training and development.
• Assist in change management projects/initiatives.
• Travel within the territory of responsibility to build relationships with leadership and field employees.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with local and field employees.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information and situations and use discretion appropriately.
• Ability to work with limited direction.
• Highly organized and able to create administrative processes to deliver consistent results.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, process work rapidly, set priorities, work under pressure, and follow through with assigned tasks with limited supervision.
• Demonstrate the ability to be a team player by being flexible, reliable, positive, and supportive of team members.
• Extensive knowledge of employment laws and best practices.
Education / Experiences
• A bachelor's degree with two to four years of full life cycle recruiting and HR generalist experience.
• 3+ years of HR experience.
• Experience administering benefits and other HR programs such as performance management.
• Strong communicator with the ability to exercise a high degree of confidentiality, professionalism, poise, tact, and diplomacy to accomplish objectives.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to clearly present recommendations and ideas and to summarize complex issues.
• Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Highly organized and demonstrates a hands-on approach in HR.
• Ulti Pro experience is a plus.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptops, photocopiers, and smartphones.
