Description
We are working with a top Am Law 100 firm is currently seeking a highly motivated and exceptionally qualified mid-level associate to join its nationally recognized Litigation & Disputes Practice Group in their Washington D.C. office. This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside leading litigators defending national and international companies in complex, high-exposure matters.
Associates will play a meaningful role in all aspects of case development, including participation in high-stakes trial teams and handling bet-the-company class actions and mass tort litigation.
Responsibilities
• Participate in the defense of complex class action and mass tort matters in state and federal courts.
• Manage and support all phases of litigation, including: pleadings and motion practice, fact and expert discovery, depositions (taking and defending), class certification briefing and strategy, trial preparation and support.
• Appellate briefing and support.
• Collaborate closely with partners and clients on litigation strategy and case management.
Qualifications
• J.D. from an accredited law school and admitted to practice law in District of Columbia.
• 3+ years of complex litigation experience within a large law firm setting, including fact and expert witness deposition experience.
• Federal circuit court clerkship and/or Assistant U.S. Attorney (AUSA) experience is preferred.
• Demonstrated experience supporting trial teams in state or federal jury trials.
• Superior analytical and problem-solving abilities, exceptional written and oral communication skills, and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to take ownership of assignments, assume a high degree of responsibility, and maintain a client-service mindset with a collaborative approach.
