Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Princeton, NJ | Full-Time Executive Leadership Opportunity Compensation: $125,000 – $140,000 Build the Future of Meal Recovery Share My Meals is seeking a bold, entrepreneurial Chief Executive Officer to lead one of the region’s most innovative and fast-growing nonprofits at the intersection of food insecurity, sustainability, technology, and community impact. In just five years, Share My Meals has grown from a local startup into a regional leader recovering and redistributing more than 25,000 meals monthly. Now, with expanding corporate partnerships, proprietary technology, and significant geographic growth potential, the organization is poised to scale across New Jersey, New York City, and Pennsylvania. This is not a traditional nonprofit CEO role. The Board is seeking a strategic operator and relationship-builder with the business acumen to lead complex multi-county operations, strengthen Fortune 500 partnerships, scale sustainable revenue models, and guide an organization with substantial growth opportunity ahead. What You’ll Do Lead Organizational Growth • Drive execution of Share My Meals’ strategic vision and regional expansion • Scale operational systems, partnerships, and infrastructure • Maintain operational excellence while increasing organizational impact Build Strategic Partnerships • Cultivate relationships with Fortune 500 companies, foundations, donors, nonprofits, and government stakeholders • Expand innovative cost-sharing and revenue partnership models • Serve as a highly visible ambassador for the organization Shape Systems-Level Impact • Serve as Co-Chair of the NJ Meal Recovery Coalition • Help advance meal recovery and waste reduction collaboration and innovation • Position Share My Meals as a leader in meal recovery and sustainability solutions Lead a Mission-Driven Team • Inspire and support a collaborative, entrepreneurial culture • Work closely with an engaged Board of Trustees and dedicated staff team • Lead with both strategy and hands-on execution when needed Advance Innovation & Technology • Oversee continued development of the STAN technology platform • Champion thoughtful AI integration to improve logistics, fundraising, communications, and operational efficiency What We’re Looking For The ideal candidate brings: • 10+ years of executive or senior leadership experience • Strong operational and business management capability • Experience inspiring and leading high-performing teams with a collaborative culture • Proven success in fundraising, partnerships, or revenue development • Executive presence with exceptional communication skills • Experience navigating corporate, nonprofit, and/or government environments • Comfort operating in a high-growth, evolving organization • Strategic thinking balanced with practical execution • Joy and passion for innovation, sustainability, and community impact The Board believes the next CEO must bring strong business leadership and operational sophistication given the organization’s expanding corporate relationships, operational complexity, coalition leadership responsibilities, and significant geographic growth opportunities.
