Base pay range
$170,000.00/yr - $220,000.00/yr
Chesapeake Search Partners is partnering with a well-established, community-focused financial institution in the greater Frederick area to identify a Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This is a key executive role within an organization known for its strong culture and growth mindset.
The CFO will join the executive leadership team and oversee all financial operations, from strategy and forecasting to accounting and regulatory compliance. This is a hands‑on environment where collaboration and leadership visibility are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide strategic financial leadership to support growth and operational goals
• Oversee finance, accounting, budgeting, and reporting functions
• Lead forecasting, capital planning, and profitability analysis
• Partner with senior leadership and the board on financial strategy
• Engage in day‑to‑day operations including reporting, liquidity management, and supporting colleagues across departments
• Manage relationships with auditors and other external stakeholders
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and reports
• Lead and develop the finance and accounting teams
Qualifications:
• Proven leadership experience in finance/accounting, preferably within banking or financial services
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and reporting
• Hands‑on expertise in accounting, financial analysis, and treasury management
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, small‑team environment
• CPA or advanced finance credential preferred
