Vice President Finance - Private Equity

VP Finance – FP&A (Private Equity Portfolio | High‑Visibility Role) John Evans Recruiting has been engaged by a distinguished Private Equity firm to identify an exceptional VP Finance (FP&A) to lead performance analysis, budgeting, and forecasting across a diverse investment portfolio. This is a high‑impact, individual‑contributor role with direct exposure to — and regular reporting for — both the CEO and CFO. The ideal candidate is analytical, independent, and confident operating in a fast‑paced, deal‑driven environment. Key Responsibilities • Lead performance analysis across portfolio companies, including KPI development, variance analysis, and investment‑level insights • Own the budgeting and forecasting process; build models that support strategic decision‑making • Prepare executive‑level reporting for the CEO, CFO, and investment leadership • Drive financial rigor, challenge assumptions, and elevate portfolio visibility • Partner cross‑functionally with accounting, operations, and investment teams REQUIRES - • Private Equity Portco Analysis and Investment Reporting • 7+ years of progressive FP&A or strategic finance experience • Strong modeling, forecasting, and performance analytics capability • Industry expertise in Private Equity, alternative investments, or portfolio‑level analysis preferred • Ability to operate independently and communicate confidently with C‑suite leaders
