We are seeking an experienced HR Manager / Talent Acquisition Manager to support our growing HVAC field operations team. This role is ideal for a hands-on HR professional with strong experience in high-volume recruiting, employee relations, compliance, and workforce planning within a field-service, skilled trades, or multi-site environment.
The successful candidate will play a key role in attracting and retaining top HVAC technicians, installers, sales representatives, and field support staff. This position partners closely with Operations leadership to anticipate staffing needs, support seasonal workload changes, reduce turnover, and help position the company as an employer of choice in the local skilled trades market.
Key Responsibilities
• Build out a localized, proactive pipeline by partnering with trade schools, utilizing targeted industry job boards, and leveraging social media outreach.
• Establish highly competitive pay plans and benefits programs designed to bring on and retain top talent.
• Mediate employee relations matters, coach field managers, and foster a positive workplace culture to reduce costly turnover.
• Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and manage workers' compensation claims.
• Utilize data-driven decision-making through Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) to track key metrics
• Deep understanding of the urgency involved in the HVAC industry (especially during peak summer/winter months) and the ability to balance HR compliance with fast-paced, decentralized operations.
• Champion of corporate branding, positioning the organization as an "employer of choice" within the local skilled trades market.
Experience:
2+ years of HR experience, ideally supporting multi-site, field-service, or heavy skilled trade organization
• Proven track record in scaling high-volume recruitment pipelines for-certified technicians, installers, and sales representatives.
• Experience partnering directly with Operations leaders to manage fluctuating seasonal workloads and drive revenue through strategic workforce planning.
