Operations Manager

Amazon is seeking an Operations Manager to lead Production & Operations in our Transportation & Logistics network. You will own daily fulfillment and delivery performance, managing staffing, workflow, and resources to meet safety, cost, and quality targets. Using data and KPIs, you’ll drive continuous improvement, streamline processes, and solve complex, high-scale problems. Partnering with cross-functional teams, you’ll champion Amazon’s customer-obsessed culture while implementing innovative tools and standard work. Lead daily transportation and logistics operations within Production & Operations to ensure safe, on-time fulfillment and delivery Manage staffing, workflow planning, and resource allocation to meet volume, cost, and quality targets Use data and KPIs to identify process gaps, drive continuous improvement, and eliminate defects across the operation Collaborate with cross-functional teams (HR, Safety, Finance, Tech) to support network goals and customer experience Own performance reporting, root-cause analysis, and action plans for service level, cost, and productivity Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards; champion Amazon’s customer-obsessed culture Develop and mentor high-performing teams through coaching, feedback, and performance management Support implementation of new tools, automation, and standard work to scale operations efficiently Operations management Transportation & logistics management Warehouse/fulfillment processes Data analysis and KPI reporting Excel/Sheets and analytics tools Process improvement/Lean/Six Sigma Workforce planning and scheduling Budgeting and cost control Safety and compliance management Cross-functional collaboration Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, operations, or related field Preferred: APICS/ASCM CPIM or CSCP Preferred: Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher Preferred: PMP or similar project management certification Experience with WMS/TMS platforms
