CNC Machinist & Service Technician

Are you interested in a limited amount of travel? KAAST Machine Tools is a machine tool and fabrication equipment manufacturer based in the greater Philadelphia area. We are looking for a CNC Machine Technician to support our customers and equipment across our full line of CNC vertical machining centers and turning centers. This is a technical, field-support-focused role—ideal for someone ready to move beyond repetitive machining and into a more dynamic, problem-solving career. Tasks & Responsibilities • Perform machine setup, installation, and commissioning • Provide customer training on CNC equipment and controls • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and CNC-related issues • Conduct machine demos (in-house and occasionally on-site) • Support service calls and maintenance as needed • Work with a variety of CNC machines rather than a single production job What This Role Is (and isn’t) • A hands-on technical role with variety and problem-solving • A mix of shop work, customer interaction, and light travel • Ideal for machinists who want to grow into a broader technical career • NOT a repetitive production machining position • NOT a sit-at-the-machine-all-day role Skills & Qualifications • CNC machining experience (mills and/or lathes) • Experience with Fanuc CNC controls • Working knowledge of CAD/CAM software • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills • Electrical troubleshooting ability • Willingness to travel occasionally (installations, service, trade shows) • Experience servicing CNC equipment or multi-axis machining knowledge is a PLUS This position is perfect for someone who wants to get off the production floor and use their machining knowledge in a more engaging, technical way.
