Strategy Consultant (Retail Banking)

Consumer Bank Strategist Location: Morristown, NJ (Hybrid) OR NYC Industry: Banking / Financial Services This is a newly created strategic role within the Consumer Banking organization. This is not a traditional BI analyst or dashboard-building position. The team is seeking a highly analytical and strategically minded professional who can function as an internal consultant to senior leadership across the Consumer Bank. This individual will help evaluate business performance, identify growth opportunities, assess strategic initiatives, and translate data-driven insights into executive-level recommendations. The role has visibility across multiple areas of the consumer bank including: • Retail Banking • Lending • Customer Growth Strategy • Branch Performance • Wealth & Insurance • Product Initiatives • Financial Performance Ideal backgrounds may include • Consumer Banking Strategy • Retail Banking Analytics • Financial Services Consulting • Performance Management • Banking Transformation • Strategic Finance What they’re looking for • Strong strategic and analytical thinking • Ability to synthesize complex information into actionable recommendations • Executive-level communication and presentation skills • Experience working cross-functionally with leadership teams • Financial services or banking industry experience strongly preferred • Advanced Excel and strong business analysis capabilities Nice to have • MBA or advanced quantitative/business degree • Experience supporting senior leadership teams • Exposure to consumer banking products and operations This is a highly visible opportunity to join a growing team being built from the ground up with strong long-term growth potential and broad exposure across the business.
