Position Overview & General Responsibilities: Sunnyside Communities, a not-for-profit organization with three Life Plan Communities in Virginia, has a great opportunity for a sales and marketing expert to join their leadership team as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). Reporting directly to the President/CEO and serving as a member of the Senior Executive Leadership Team, this individual will provide strategic direction and insight– vision, leadership and management – on the marketing, sales, and business development functions of the organization. Responsible for planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating all sales, marketing, and public relations functions, the CMO has a primary focus on creating a first-class brand, developing integrated campaigns and communications that drive prospect engagement and demand, marketing positioning and awareness, and revenue growth. The CMO also serves as the spokesperson for the organization and is responsible for maintaining a stellar professional profile, building collaborative partnerships, and advancing the mission of Sunnyside Communities. Qualifications: The ideal candidate must have five or more years in an executive role with a proven track record of leading a highly collaborative, result-oriented sales and marketing team, be exceedingly skilled in brand consistency and corporate messaging, and show extensive experience in public relations. Demands strong business acumen and analytical skills. Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, management or related field is required; advanced degree or relevant certifications strongly preferred.
