Makeup Assistant Position India Wise Makeup India Wise Makeup is looking for a passionate, professional, and motivated Makeup Assistant to join our growing bridal beauty team. This is a paid opportunity for someone who is eager to grow within the beauty industry, gain hands-on bridal experience, and work in a fast-paced, luxury beauty environment. As a Makeup Assistant, you will support the lead artist during weddings, events, bridal trials, and appointments while helping create a smooth, elevated experience for every client. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, reliable, coachable, and passionate about makeup artistry and beauty. Responsibilities • Assist with setting up and breaking down makeup stations for weddings and events • Support the lead artist with client preparation and bridal party services • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of brushes, tools, products, and work areas at all times • Help keep the wedding day timeline running smoothly and efficiently • Provide a positive, professional, and friendly experience for clients and bridal parties • Assist with content creation, including before-and-after photos/videos for social media when needed • Restock disposables and supplies such as spoolies, powder puffs, lip wands, wipes, etc. • Support with touch-ups and basic makeup application under supervision as skills develop • Communicate professionally with both clients and team members • Be adaptable and ready to assist wherever needed during busy wedding mornings and events Qualifications • Passion for beauty, makeup artistry, and the bridal industry • Strong attention to detail and cleanliness • Ability to work well in fast-paced, high-energy environments • Reliable transportation to and from weddings and events • Weekend availability is required, especially during peak wedding season • Willingness to learn, take feedback, and adapt to the India Wise Makeup style and standards • Basic knowledge of makeup application techniques preferred • Makeup artistry training or certification is a plus, but not required • Experience with photography/content creation is helpful but not required What We’re Looking For We are looking for someone who: • Is eager to grow within the bridal beauty industry • Can follow direction well and work as part of a team • Takes pride in professionalism, cleanliness, and punctuality • Has a positive attitude and strong client service skills • Wants hands-on experience with luxury bridal and special event makeup Compensation • Assistant positions start at $20/hour • Opportunities for growth into a Makeup Artist role over time based on skill, speed, professionalism, and consistency • Overtime beyond scheduled hours will be compensated hourly Training Selected candidates may be invited to complete a training day focused on: • Speed and efficiency • Cleanliness and sanitation • Ability to follow the India Wise Makeup style and techniques • Professionalism and client experience standards Join a growing luxury bridal beauty team and gain real-world experience in the wedding and beauty industry while helping clients feel confident and beautiful on some of the most important days of their lives.
