Manager, Software Engineering & Development

For our client, we are seeking a Manager Software Engineering & Development to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will lead work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a regulated financial services environment. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $160,000 – $180,000 annually Responsibilities Lead a cross-functional team of engineers to deliver AI-enabled solutions Cultivate engineering talent and a high-performance team culture Support the delivery of enterprise AI platform capabilities Enhance engineering practices across software development and operations Collaborate with product and technology leaders to align on execution and outcomes Resolve blockers and enhance team velocity through hands-on contributions when necessary Create clarity and direction in ambiguous project environments Qualifications 5+ years of professional software engineering or related technical experience 2+ years of technical leadership or engineering management experience Experience coaching or mentoring technical team members Strong understanding of modern software engineering practices including clean code and CI/CD Ability to support production systems with troubleshooting and operational improvements Benefits 401(k) match Medical, Dental, Vision coverage Paid-Time-Off Opportunity for professional growth Work in a fast-moving AI environment Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
