This role collaborates closely with nursing and clinical teams to support resident health, satisfaction, and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities • Lead and manage all aspects of the dietary department and kitchen operations • Plan and implement menus that meet nutritional standards, therapeutic needs, and resident preferences • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local health, safety, and sanitation regulations • Collaborate with healthcare professionals on specialized and therapeutic diets • Monitor food quality, production, and consistency • Train, supervise, and support dietary staff • Manage inventory, ordering, budgeting, and cost control • Maintain accurate records for food production, inventory, and expenses • Coordinate special meals, holidays, and events that enhance resident experience Qualifications & Skills • Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) credential preferred • Experience in food service management, ideally in skilled nursing, healthcare, or senior living • Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen operations • Customer‑service mindset with a passion for resident satisfaction • Experience with menu planning, budgeting, and inventory management • Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team • Ability to work hands‑on in a fast‑paced healthcare environment Compensation & Benefits (Full‑Time) • Salary: $63,000 – $65,000 Paid Time Off: • 80 hours vacation • 40 hours sick time (rollover eligible) • 6 personal days • 7 paid major holidays Health & Financial Benefits: • CareFirst medical plans • HRA fund • FSA • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) • Tuition assistance Additional Perks: • Same Day Pay • Employee discounts • Earn Points, Earn Rewards program • Professional development opportunities • Attendance rewards • Referral program About Lorien Health ServicesLorien Health Services is a trusted regional leader in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and senior care.
