Job Overview: Search Solution Group is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Operations Manager on behalf of our client, a growing manufacturing organization. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day manufacturing operations, driving production performance, and ensuring operational excellence across safety, quality, delivery, and productivity metrics. The Senior Manufacturing Operations Manager will play a critical role in developing teams, improving processes, and fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and high performance. Key Responsibilities: • Lead daily manufacturing operations to ensure production goals are achieved safely, efficiently, and on schedule. • Manage production scheduling, workforce planning, workflow coordination, and resource allocation. • Develop, coach, and mentor supervisors and production team members. • Monitor and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) related to safety, quality, productivity, delivery, and cost. • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on process optimization, waste reduction, and operational efficiency. • Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Operations teams to resolve production challenges and improve overall performance. • Support hiring, onboarding, training, employee development, and performance management efforts. • Ensure compliance with safety standards, operating procedures, and quality requirements. • Foster a positive, collaborative, and results-driven work environment. • Utilize operational metrics and data analysis to make informed business decisions and improve manufacturing outcomes. Requirements Include:Education: • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Operations Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred. • Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered. Experience: • Minimum of 7 years of manufacturing, production, or operations leadership experience. • At least 3 years of experience leading teams within a manufacturing environment. • Proven experience managing production schedules, labor planning, quality oversight, and operational execution. • Experience implementing continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives. • Experience in custom manufacturing, soft goods, furniture, textiles, upholstery, or similar industries is a plus. Skills: • Strong leadership and team development skills. • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. • Advanced problem-solving and decision-making capabilities. • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills. • Project management and process improvement expertise. • Workforce planning and resource management skills. • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Certifications: • Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or related operational excellence certifications are preferred but not required. Knowledge: • Manufacturing operations and production management. • Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies. • Safety regulations and quality management systems. • Production scheduling and workforce optimization. • Performance metrics and operational reporting.
