This hands-on leadership role involves designing deterministic, auditable systems that automate complex workflows by connecting disparate enterprise data. You will bridge applied science with production engineering to solve genuinely original problems in retrieval and reasoning. Tackle unsolved, research-grade problems at the intersection of AI and enterprise, including ACL-correct retrieval and evidence-grounded workflow discovery. What You Will Do Design and ship the hybrid search and retrieval layer, ensuring it is semantically powerful, permissions-correct, and robust against adversarial failure modes. Build systems that extract structured signals from noisy enterprise activity to model and automate repeatable workflows across tools like CRM, chat, and email. Act as a public technical leader for the company, representing the platform's AI vision to C-suite customers, investors, and the broader research community. The ideal candidate Proven track record of shipping production LLM systems at scale with a background in Applied Science or ML research (NLP, IR, or Knowledge Graphs). Recognized impact in the AI space through published research, widely-used open-source contributions, or significant thought leadership known to the community. Deep expertise in information retrieval beyond vector search, with specific experience in hybrid retrieval, security trimming, and evaluation methodologies. Who are Jack & Jill? Ok, I'll go first.
