MS Fabric Data Engineer

Job Title: MS Fabric Data Engineer Location: Philadelphia, PA - Onsite Job Type: Contract-to-Hire Job Summary We are seeking an experienced MS Fabric Data Engineer to design, develop, and optimize modern data solutions using Microsoft Fabric and Azure technologies. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in data engineering, ETL/ELT pipelines, data warehousing, and cloud-based analytics platforms. This role requires hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric components such as Data Factory, OneLake, Lakehouse, Power BI, and Spark workloads. Key Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric. Develop and optimize ETL/ELT workflows for ingesting and transforming large datasets. Implement and manage Lakehouse and Data Warehouse solutions within MS Fabric. Work with OneLake, Data Factory, Spark, and Power BI integration. Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and architects to understand data requirements. Ensure data quality, governance, security, and performance optimization across platforms. Integrate data from multiple sources including APIs, databases, flat files, and cloud platforms. Support real-time and batch data processing requirements. Troubleshoot production issues and provide ongoing platform support. Participate in architecture discussions and recommend best practices for scalable cloud data solutions. Required Skills & Qualifications 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering. Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric. Strong expertise in Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake, and Power BI. Experience with Spark, PySpark, SQL, and Python. Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT design, and data warehousing concepts. Experience working with Lakehouse architecture and big data platforms. Knowledge of CI/CD, DevOps, and Git-based deployment processes. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
