Description
For our client, we are seeking a Staff Analytics Engineer Subledger Platform to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will lead work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery. You will partner with business, technical, and operational stakeholders to build reporting, surface trends, and translate analysis into action. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen data-driven execution and help teams focus on the metrics that matter most within a regulated financial services environment.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $170,000 – $220,000 annually
Responsibilities
Build and maintain dbt models for the financial subledger data platform
Implement data quality controls including automated reconciliations and anomaly checks
Integrate AI-assisted reconciliation capabilities into the platform for enhanced accuracy
Own subledger data products ensuring traceability from source to reporting outputs
Collaborate with Accounting to turn requirements into precise model specifications
Monitor and manage the operational performance of the data pipelines you create
Coach and mentor an Analytics Engineer for their professional growth
Qualifications
5-7 years of hands-on analytics engineering experience with production dbt projects
Strong SQL and data modeling skills, focusing on finance reporting
Proven experience operating data pipelines in a data warehouse environment (preferably Snowflake)
Proficient programming skills in Python for data tooling and automation tasks
In-depth expertise in Snowflake architecture and governance practices
Strong ownership mindset with experience leading cross-functional teams
Nice to have: Familiarity with accounting principles and experience in designing SOX-friendly controls
