Role Description The Content Creator Videographer is a part-time, on-site role based in Waterbury, CT. This role is responsible for planning, filming, and editing video content for marketing campaigns, social media, internal communications, and client-facing materials. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with stakeholders to understand project goals, developing concepts and storyboards, setting up and operating cameras, lighting, and audio equipment, and editing footage into polished videos optimized for various platforms. The role also involves capturing still images as needed, preparing short-form and long-form content, adding graphics, captions, and basic motion elements, and organizing media assets for easy access. The Content Creator Videographer will work closely with the marketing and communications teams to maintain brand consistency and ensure all content aligns with strategic objectives.
Qualifications
• Demonstrated experience in video production, including planning, filming, and editing content for digital platforms.
• Proficiency with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve) and basic audio editing tools.
• Ability to operate cameras, lighting, and audio equipment safely and effectively in on-site settings.
• Strong visual storytelling skills, including understanding of framing, pacing, composition, and basic motion graphics.
• Familiarity with social media and digital platforms (e.g., YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn) and how to tailor content to each channel.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines in a part-time schedule.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Portfolio or reel showcasing previous video and content creation work (required for consideration).
• Experience in marketing, communications, or a related creative field is preferred.
• Relevant education or training in film, media production, communications, or a similar discipline is a plus, or equivalent practical experience.
