Description

ServiceNow Flow Designer / Automation Engineer 6 month engagement, will extend CDW W2 Contract Coworker (W2 only, no C2C) CDW is seeking a ServiceNow Flow Designer / Automation Engineer to design, develop, and optimize workflow automation solutions that support service-aware operations, governance, and enterprise process efficiency. This role will focus on building scalable automation capabilities within the ServiceNow platform using Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, orchestration workflows, and scripting technologies. The ideal candidate will have strong experience developing automated workflows, approval processes, integrations, and remediation capabilities that improve operational consistency, reduce manual effort, and enable safe, governed execution of IT and business services. Key Responsibilities Workflow Automation & Orchestration Design and develop automation workflows using ServiceNow Flow Designer and IntegrationHub Build orchestration workflows supporting IT operations, service management, and governance processes Develop automated remediation and operational task execution capabilities Create scalable approval workflows, notifications, and service fulfillment processes Automate routine operational and infrastructure activities across enterprise environments Platform Engineering & Development Configure and customize ServiceNow workflows, business rules, scripts, and automation logic Develop integrations with external systems, APIs, cloud platforms, and enterprise tools Support service-aware operational models using CMDB and service relationship data Implement reusable automation frameworks and workflow standards Ensure automation solutions follow platform governance and best practices Operational Excellence & Governance Improve operational efficiency through process automation and workflow optimization Ensure automation activities include appropriate controls, approvals, and auditability Support incident response, change management, and operational governance initiatives Collaborate with platform, infrastructure, security, and application teams Assist with troubleshooting workflow issues, integration failures, and platform performance Required Qualifications 3+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development or automation engineering experience Strong experience with ServiceNow Flow Designer and IntegrationHub Experience developing workflows, orchestration, and automated approval processes Proficiency with JavaScript and ServiceNow scripting concepts Experience integrating ServiceNow with APIs, external platforms, and enterprise systems Understanding of ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, and service-aware operational models Experience with automation governance, operational controls, and best practices Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications Experience with ServiceNow Orchestration and IntegrationHub spokes Knowledge of ITIL processes and operational governance frameworks Experience supporting service-aware organizations and CMDB-driven operations Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform Experience with automated remediation and self-healing operational workflows ServiceNow certifications preferred Technical Skills ServiceNow Flow Designer IntegrationHub Business Rules Script Includes REST/SOAP Integrations CMDB ITSM / ITOM Automation & Development JavaScript Workflow orchestration API integrations Automated remediation Approval workflows Platforms & Tools Azure / AWS / Google Cloud Platform CI/CD concepts Git/version control Monitoring and operational tooling Additional Information Candidates local to the area are preferred; however, remote candidates with strong ServiceNow automation experience will also be considered. #dice
