Job Title: Regional Sales Director Salary: Up to $175,000 basic per annum + uncapped commission (OTE $385,000 - $450,000 per annum for year one) Location: New York City Reporting into: Head of Sales About CBTax: CBTax is an award-winning, global R&D consultancy firm with offices in New York, the UK, Ireland and the UAE. About the Role: CBTax is seeking a commercially driven and results-oriented Regional Sales Director to join the New York City office. This role is suited to an experienced business development leader with 8+ years proven track record in consultative sales, client acquisition, and revenue growth within fast-paced, high-performance environments. You will need to have relevant experience with closing deals direct with end businesses and be a “hunter” sales individual that wants to grow a similar minded team. A successful candidate will play a key role in driving new business opportunities, managing strategic client relationships, leading complex sales engagements from prospecting through to close and supporting a team of high performers. Working closely with senior leadership, you will contribute directly to the firm’s growth strategy while collaborating across teams to deliver exceptional client outcomes. This position offers the opportunity to further develop leadership capabilities, expand market influence, and continue to grow a sales function in the New York City office. In this Role, You'll: • Identify and engage potential clients and close new business through networking, strategic outreach and targeted sales efforts. • Manage a structured sales pipeline, ensuring a steady flow of high-quality opportunities while building relationships with decision makers to drive referrals and ensure clients get a gold level service. • Own the full sales cycle of your own portfolio. • Build a high performing Regional Sales team in the New York City area. • Conduct outbound calls, emails, and networking activities to generate new business. • Qualify leads and book high-value client meetings. • Develop a deep understanding of R&D tax credits to effectively communicate our value proposition. • Collaborate with the marketing team to refine lead-generation strategies and optimise conversion rates. • Maintain accurate records of interactions in our Salesforce system to track progress and outcomes. • Achieve and exceed sales activity targets, unlocking additional performance-based rewards. • Meet and exceed KPI’s. • Manage client accounts where you will receive ongoing commission from successful claims. Qualifications • Strong background in Sales and Sales Operations. • Experience in Customer Service and a proven ability to maintain client satisfaction. • Proven expertise in Business Development and identifying market opportunities. • Team Management skills, including leading, mentoring, and motivating a sales team. • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. • Goal-oriented mindset with a consistent track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. • Familiarity with R&D tax incentives or financial consulting is a plus.
