SEO Manager

V Digital Services is one of the fastest-rising digital marketing agencies in the country, operating in over 300 US cities. Our team of 130+ analysts, client success managers, and marketing experts is dedicated to helping businesses – from single location to multi-location enterprises – succeed in the digital arena. In this role, you will be the mastermind behind our local search products, responsible for leading a team of 10+ SEO professionals, conducting in-depth client audits, and devising strategies that consistently outperform the competition. Location: Phoenix, Arizona Key Responsibilities • Team Management (40%): Lead a team of 10+ SEO professionals in executing creative local SEO campaigns across diverse industries. • Ensure timely completion of client projects and proactive communication within the team. • Motivate and coach the team through regular one-on-ones, feedback sessions, and individual development plans. • Lead weekly meetings to discuss priorities, address concerns, and redistribute workload as needed. • Recruit, hire, and nurture new talent, contributing to the professional growth of your team. • Assist with department budgeting, including staffing and capacity planning. • Client Retention & Growth (30%): Drive SEO strategy during pivotal client interactions, build strong relationships with stakeholders, and monitor client performance to ensure targets are met. • Identify opportunities to expand client accounts through upselling or cross-selling and participate in business development initiatives. • Collaborate with pre-sales, web development, and other teams to maintain SEO alignment. • SEO Product, Quality & Efficiency (30%): Contribute to the development of V Digital Services’ SEO products and operational processes. • Analyze performance data and provide actionable insights to improve strategies and campaign outcomes. • Streamline operational workflows and partner with leadership to drive efficiency across key performance indicators. • Stay current with industry trends and marketplace changes to strategically guide your team. Required Qualifications • Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field. • 3+ years managing teams in an agency environment (experience with remote teams is a plus). • Proven track record of driving traffic and conversions through strategic SEO. • Hands-on experience with keyword research, on-page optimization, link-building, and local SEO strategy. • Expertise in managing Google Business Profile, local citations, performance monitoring, and local reviews management. • Proficiency with SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, and Screaming Frog. • Outstanding leadership, communication, negotiation, and conflict management skills. • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. • A passion for SEO paired with a continuous learning mindset and willingness to travel as needed. Preferred Qualifications • Experience servicing and growing both SMB and enterprise accounts. • Proficiency in technical SEO and website development. • Preferred experience levels include approximately 3 years in management, 1 year in local SEO, and 1 year in organic SEO.
