About the Opportunity
Are you ready to use your expertise in cutting-edge AI to make a tangible difference in cancer research?
We are seeking a motivated and forward-thinking Full-Stack Agentic AI Developer to build autonomous, goal-driven AI integrated into a large, production-ready system supporting cancer clinical trials. In this role, you will blend deep technical fluency in agentic frameworks with a product-centric mindset. You will be instrumental in designing, building, and orchestrating multi-agent systems that plan, reason, use tools, and recover from errors to directly improve clinical trial processes.
This is a highly impactful, 9-month contract role (40 hours/week) running from June 2026 through the end of February 2027, with the potential for extension.
What You Will Do
• Innovate & Execute: Implement proof-of-concept through production-ready capabilities that directly streamline and improve clinical trial workflows.
• Build Autonomous Agents: Design, deploy, and govern AI agents capable of understanding high-level goals, planning actions, and executing tasks with minimal human intervention.
• Leverage Modern Frameworks: Utilize frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, or CrewAI to build complex LLM-powered workflows.
• Develop Full-Stack Solutions: Build robust backend services (Python, Node.js, Spring Boot REST APIs) to support agent orchestration, alongside intuitive front-end interfaces (React, Next.js, TypeScript) for human-in-the-loop monitoring and configuration.
• Create Custom Integrations: Develop custom tools, plugins, and Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers to securely expose internal services, APIs, and databases to LLMs.
• Optimize Data Pipelines: Architect and refine Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines and vector databases.
• Deploy & Monitor: Deploy AI applications on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) using Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines, while implementing logging, tracing (e.g., LangSmith, Langfuse), and strict safety guardrails.
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field.
• 3+ years of professional full-stack development experience, with a dedicated focus on AI applications and data pipelines.
• Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder.
Preferred Qualifications
• Strong programming proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience developing AI agent workflows and familiarity with the OpenAI API, LangChain, or LangGraph.
• Full-stack expertise: Front-end (React.js), Back-end (Spring Boot REST APIs, FastAPI, Flask, or Node.js), and Database management (Oracle, PostgreSQL, NoSQL/Vector databases).
• Experience with AWS Bedrock/Agents and modern CI/CD tools.
• Exposure to Databricks, PySpark, Vector Search, and the MLFlow framework is highly desired.
• Familiarity with emerging AI coding assistants (like Claude Code, Codex) and experience governing autonomous AI systems.
How to Apply
If you are passionate about pushing the boundaries of AI and want to apply your skills to a meaningful cause in healthcare and clinical research, we want to hear from you. Please submit your resume detailing your hands-on experience with Agentic AI frameworks and full-stack development.
