For more information, visit Summary of Role: The role will report directly to the Vice President of Corporate Development and will build and lead a best-in-class corporate development function. The Senior Director Corporate Development will lead transaction activities ranging from identifying, evaluating and driving public and private company acquisitions, joint ventures, asset divestitures and restructurings, minority investments and other critical initiatives. This role will require a balance of leadership and support for all aspects of the transaction evaluation and execution process, including: idea generation, deal sourcing and screening, valuation, due diligence, negotiation and structuring, driving collaboration and approvals and integration. The Senior Director, Corporate Development must exhibit outstanding relationship skills with both external parties and internal teams. Essential Responsibilities Lead and support corporate development transactions through all phases of the transaction lifecycle Partner with Product Line leaders to identify and prioritize strategic gaps, evaluate build/buy/partner options and collaborate on target selection criteria and recommendations Develop a deep understanding of the competitive landscape and assist in establishing relationships with key players in the industry Collaborate with primary deal leads and broader cross-functional teams to drive focused diligence processes which vet key assumptions and value drivers Conduct detailed analyses including valuation and pro forma case modeling which capture target company trends, deal alignments and integration costs in detail Articulate clear rationale and risks associated with proposed transactions through spoken and written communications with deal sponsors, functional leadership and senior executives, taking into account GlobalFoundries overall interests Develop presentation materials to provide recommendations to the executive team and the board Build detailed models for potential M&A transactions. Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs. Undergraduate degree and MBA (preferable) 10 plus years of proven experience in the M&A technology sector, which could include banking, consulting or private equity experience Strong financial modeling and valuation skills Hands-on deal leadership experience Strong leadership and program management skills with the ability to work and build consensus with multiple cross-functional teams Ability to quickly adapt to changes resulting from a dynamic and growing business environment. Self-starter with flexibility to work on multiple projects simultaneously and adjust near-term role to business needs Comfortable with a team-oriented and collaborative approach to achieving impact Positive attitude and understanding of the GlobalFoundries culture Excellent interpersonal, including strong oral and writing capabilities; GlobalFoundries is fully committed to equal opportunity in the workplace and believes that cultural diversity within the company enhances its business potential.
