Chief Operating Officer (COO) Northern New Jersey Area Full-Time | In-Office $250,000–$300,000 DOE A well-established and growing Sub Contracting company is seeking a high-level Chief Operating Officer (COO) to oversee and run the day-to-day operations of the business. This is a leadership role for a strong operator who knows how to manage teams, improve systems, hold departments accountable, and keep the company running efficiently at a high level. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong operational experience in construction, millwork, cabinetry, manufacturing, or a related industry. This person must be able to take ownership of the company’s operations, streamline workflow, manage department heads, and work closely with ownership on company growth and execution. Responsibilities • Oversee daily operations across all departments • Manage and lead office staff, project managers, production teams, and field operations • Implement systems, processes, and operational improvements • Ensure projects, timelines, and deliverables are running efficiently • Hold teams accountable and maintain strong communication across departments • Monitor budgets, operational performance, and overall company productivity • Work closely with ownership on strategy, planning, and execution • Help build a strong company culture focused on professionalism and results • Identify operational bottlenecks and create solutions proactively Qualifications • Strong leadership and operational management experience required • Experience in cabinetry, millwork, construction, manufacturing, or related industries strongly preferred • Proven ability to run teams and manage multiple departments simultaneously • Strong organizational, communication, and decision-making skills • Ability to lead from the front and take full ownership of operations • Experience building systems, improving workflow, and scaling operations • Professional, sharp, and highly accountable personality This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned operator looking to step into a true leadership role with significant responsibility, authority, and long-term growth potential
