Game Developer (Unreal Engine) job at Creative Heads, Inc.. Centerville, UT. Torque3 is a rapidly expanding MedTechstartup that is developing a breakthrough neurorehabilitation solution. We aredeveloping a realistic simulator that combines immersive VR, advanced robotics,and task-orientated therapy. Our integrated system is designed to help strokeand TBI survivors increase their neuroplasticity, and thus, make substantialgains faster. In other words, your role at Torque3 will be anything but dull! Toget an idea of why we need a game developer for a neurorehab platform, watchthis 1-minute clip: The job pays $90K to $120K. This is an on-site position. The“games” run on our unique system which requires a lot of hands-on validationtesting. MAIN ADVANTAGES OF WORKING AT TORQUE3: 1. The work you do at Torque3 can make thedifference in these people getting some semblance of their life back andfeeling whole again. RESPONSIBILITIES • Work with the game development team tocreate compelling VR experiences using Unreal Engine • Share core responsibilities in thedevelopment of new gameplay systems and environments • Rapidly produce stable prototypes of newgameplay systems using blueprints. • Design and iterate on environmentsoptimized for use with VR • Integrate and optimize marketplace gameassets into new and existing environments • Collaborate with the product &engineering teams • Consult directly with medical teammembers to improve gameplay experience for impaired users. • Test and improve game feel of vehiclephysics tied to a proprietary robotics platform. • Ride our quad bicycle around forreference (and for fun!). QUALIFICATIONS • Must have at least 3+ years ofprofessional experience as a game developer utilizing Unreal Engine 4.(Professional experience does NOT include college courses.) • Combination of relevant education and experiencein game development. A bachelor’s degree in game design or a related field is abonus • Must be able to show prior work through astrong visual portfolio (automatic disqualification if you don't have aportfolio). • Permanent residence in the US is requiredand no visa sponsorship is available. • Must live near Centerville, UT (justoutside of SLC) or be willing to relocate – there’s phenomenal skiing,kayaking, hiking, fishing, etc. just minutes away! SKILLS & EXPERIENCE • Expert in Unreal Engine game development(gameplay programming, level design and optimization) • Excellent verbal and writtencommunication skills • Capable in technical art (designmaterials, particle effects, lighting, etc.) • Ability to quickly design basic modelsand animation for level features and gameplay interactions • Strong audio skills are a bonus • Familiar with version control (preferredexperience with Git) • Experience working with teams andproduction pipelines • Have an eye for detail and anappreciation for writing clean code • Results-oriented mindset and be able toeffectively self-manage time, prioritize tasks, and work within tight deadlines • Salary: $90,000 to $120,000 (based onexperience) annual salary • Insurance: Medical, Dental, and Visionbenefits available after the first 30 days • Holiday/Paid Time Off: 6 days of holiday pay plusaccrual-based paid time off • Stock Options: Reserved Stock Units under theexisting Employee Stock Option Plan • Hours: Full-time, flexible working hours • Relocation Assistance: Available for the right person Torque3is on a mission to restore lost functionality and independence to people whohave suffered a stroke or TBI.
