The Opportunity This is a pivotal executive leadership role at a key moment of transformation. The organization is evolving into a multi-state, operationally mature, and growth-oriented enterprise, with increasing focus on scalability, innovation, and strategic expansion—including M&A. The COO will serve as a strategic partner to the CEO, driving operational alignment, building infrastructure for scale, and ensuring consistent execution across a growing and increasingly complex business. What You’ll Do Enterprise Leadership & Strategy - Partner with the CEO and executive team to drive strategic execution - Translate business strategy into clear operating plans, KPIs, and performance metrics - Align business units to ensure consistency and accountability across the enterprise Operational Excellence & Scaling - Lead and optimize day-to-day operations across all service lines - Build scalable processes, systems, and infrastructure to support multi-state growth - Drive continuous improvement and operational rigor Financial & Performance Management - Partner closely with Finance to drive forecasting, performance tracking, and cost discipline - Improve profitability, margins, and overall business efficiency Growth, Client Delivery & Innovation - Ensure high-quality, consistent client delivery - Align operations with business development and growth initiatives - Support service innovation and expansion efforts People & Organizational Leadership - Build, develop, and lead high-performing teams - Drive organizational design, succession planning, and leadership development - Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and performance Governance & Risk - Strengthen operational controls, compliance, and risk mitigation practices What Success Looks Like (First 12 Months) - Establish scalable operating structures to support geographic expansion - Improve operational performance metrics and reporting visibility - Support and integrate strategic growth initiatives, including acquisitions - Strengthen leadership capability and organizational alignment - Drive measurable improvements in efficiency, profitability, and execution What You Bring - 10–15+ years of senior leadership experience, including operational leadership at scale - Proven track record in growth-oriented, multi-entity or multi-state organizations - Strong financial, operational, and strategic acumen - Experience building infrastructure and processes in scaling environments - Executive presence with the ability to influence at all levels - Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred Leadership Profile - Strategic thinker with strong execution discipline - Collaborative, influential, and highly accountable - Data-driven decision maker - High integrity with sound business judgment - Strong developer of talent and teams Compensation & Benefits - Base Salary Range: $222,723 – $334,084 - Performance-based annual incentive bonus - Stock appreciation rights (SARs) - Employee stock ownership plan (ESOP) - 401(k) Location • Orange County, California (Hybrid) preferred; remote flexibility with regular travel to the office.
