Senior Software Engineer, Exchange

About the Opportunity: The Senior Software Engineer, Exchange will play a critical role in developing and scaling the core technology behind the company’s prediction market platform. This position involves designing systems that prioritize low latency, high reliability, and accuracy to support high-throughput operations. The role contributes directly to the platform’s performance and availability, impacting how sophisticated clients interact with the exchange infrastructure through various APIs and data feeds. 3.Responsibilties: • Design, build, and scale core exchange infrastructure, including order matching and trade execution algorithms • Develop and maintain APIs and data feeds (REST, FIX, WebSockets) ensuring speed and reliability • Design clearing infrastructure, position management, margining, and financial transaction processes • Manage technical relationships with customers such as market makers and traders • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across databases and services • Conduct rigorous testing to ensure system resilience before production deployment • Innovate new prediction market structures, including contract types and mechanics • Operate with autonomy, making decisions and taking ownership of outcomes 4. Requirements: • Minimum of 5 years engineering experience with high-performance, low-latency systems • Proficiency in performant programming languages like C, Rust, C++, Go, or Java, with flexibility to learn others • Product-oriented mindset with good judgment on scope and tradeoffs • Experience thriving in fast-paced, ambiguous environments requiring high agency • Background in TradeFi, prediction markets, crypto exchange infrastructure, or smart order routing (SOR) Bonus: • Experience in sports, fantasy gaming, or related fields • Proven ability to build highly available, high-volume consumer-facing systems • Deep knowledge of concurrency, threading models, and performance tradeoffs 5. Pay Range and Compensation Package: • Target starting base salary range between $160,000 and $240,000, plus target equity • Starting salary dependent on candidate’s skills, experience, and other factors 6.
