Senior Staff Aerostructures Design Engineer (R4721)

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Staff Aerostructures Design Engineer (r4721) to join the team of a leader in the Enterprise Technology space. This role will lead operational priorities where safety, quality, compliance, and execution discipline are central to success. You will collaborate with field leadership, support functions, and cross-functional stakeholders to improve accountability, service delivery, and operational consistency. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $166,632 – $249,948 annually Responsibilities Lead structural component design for next-gen UAVs focusing on primary and secondary structures Own the design lifecycle from concept generation to drawing release ensuring quality traceability Use FEA tools for structural analysis under operational loads and edge cases Collaborate with multiple teams to ensure integration of airframe and subsystems Lead material selection efforts favoring composites and advanced manufacturing techniques Participate in design reviews and technical decision-making for structural systems Oversee validation testing and guide development of design documentation Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering 10+ years in aircraft structural design with ownership experience Deep understanding of composite and metallic structures Expertise in CAD (NX, CATIA, SolidWorks) and FEA tools (ANSYS, Abaqus, NASTRAN) Experience with stress and fatigue analysis Strong knowledge of DFMA, GD&T, and structural layout principles Excellent technical communication and cross-functional leadership skills Benefits Bonus potential beyond salary Equity options Comprehensive health benefits Opportunities for professional development Flexible work arrangements when applicable Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
