Connection Services has a fantastic opportunity for a Field Solution Architect (FSA) working in a fully remote model. Job Summary
Working under general supervision of the (Sr.) Manager, Field Solution Architects, the Field Solution Architect (FSA) is responsible for driving cloud-first solution engagement, with a strong emphasis on Microsoft Azure and modern cloud architectures.
This role partners closely with sales teams and customers to design and position scalable, cloud-based solutions that align to business outcomes. The FSA leverages experience and judgment to support complex solution design, focusing on cloud adoption, migration, modernization, and hybrid strategies.
The ideal candidate understands both technical architecture and business drivers, enabling them to deliver solutions that accelerate customer success, expand existing accounts, and drive new opportunities. The FSA brings a consultative approach and provides insight into best practices across cloud, SaaS, and modern infrastructure solutions.
Key Responsibilities
• Partner with Account Managers to discover, qualify, and develop cloud solution opportunities, with a primary focus on Microsoft Azure
• Design and present cloud architectures and modernization strategies, including migration, optimization, and hybrid cloud solutions
• Drive growth of advanced technology revenue by expanding Azure and cloud adoption within existing and new accounts
• Lead customer discussions, workshops, and whiteboarding sessions focused on cloud transformation and business outcomes
• Translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions
• Provide documentation and insights from discovery sessions to improve sales execution and follow-up
• Enable sales teams on Azure solutions, cloud services, and emerging technologies
• Deliver internal trainings and support technical enablement across the sales organization
• Participate in customer-facing and internal events (Tech Summits, vendor sessions, etc.)
• Contribute to go-to-market strategies, solution development, and cloud offerings
• Collaborate with Inside Solution Architects (ISAs) and engineering teams to build and refine cloud solutions
• Support strategic initiatives aligned with cloud growth and business development
• Maintain and develop technical expertise in Azure and cloud-native technologies
• Stay current on industry trends including cloud modernization, DevOps, security, and SaaS platforms
• Identify and engage target accounts for cloud transformation opportunities
• Support pipeline growth through proactive customer engagement and solution positioning
Qualifications
• Strong experience in pre-sales, solutions architecture, or cloud consulting roles
• Proven ability to design and present Microsoft Azure-based solutions
• Experience leading customer workshops, discovery sessions, and technical presentations
• Understanding of cloud migration, modernization, and hybrid cloud strategies
• Familiarity with cloud cost optimization, governance, and security best practices
Technical Experience (Cloud-Focused)
• Microsoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS, networking, identity, security)
• Microsoft 365 and enterprise cloud environments
• Hybrid cloud and cloud migration strategies
• Virtualization and modern application platforms
• Disaster recovery and business continuity in cloud environments
• General understanding of multi-cloud environments (AWS/GCP is a plus)
Certifications (Preferred but Not Required)
• Microsoft Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-305, or similar)
• Other cloud or industry certifications are a plus
