Now every family can, powered by Halfmore's AI. The work that used to require a lawyer, a payroll provider, a CPA, a bank, and a brokerage firm, our AI agents do all of it, end to end. What once cost families over $3,000 a year and 40 hours of work, we deliver for $10 a month and 10 minutes of onboarding. This matters most for the families who were never let into the room. Many parents, especially immigrant families working to give the next generation a better life, simply do not know what they do not know. We are changing that. We are just getting started. The Role We are looking for a Founding Product Designer to own and elevate the entire user-facing experience of Halfmore. Design is how families actually experience what our AI does for them. We handle payroll, compliance, and wealth-building for their children behind the scenes; your work makes that complexity feel simple, trustworthy, and even delightful. From welcoming a parent onto the platform to helping them watch their child's financial future compound, you will define how families experience money in ways they never have before. You will work directly with the co-founders and engineering team to: Translate complex financial and regulatory workflows into intuitive, family-friendly experiences. Build and own Halfmore's design language, ensuring consistency across mobile and web. Create design assets, wireframes, and high-fidelity prototypes. Partner closely with engineering to ship polished, production-ready work. How We Build We are AI-native in how we work, not just what we ship. We design and prototype with Claude's design tooling as part of our daily workflow, and we expect designers here to use AI to move faster and explore more than a traditional team ever could. A small team doing the work of hundreds is not a slogan for us, it is how we operate. What We're Looking For Exceptional visual and interaction design skills, with a portfolio of polished, user-centered products. A bias toward action: you make decisions with incomplete information, iterate fast, and simplify complex workflows. Fluency with modern design tools, and comfort designing and prototyping with AI. Experience with Claude Design and AI-native design workflows is a strong plus. Based in the San Francisco Bay Area or willing to relocate. This is a founding, in-person role. Bonus Experience designing for consumer fintech, family, or education products. Strong storytelling skills, able to turn abstract concepts like compound interest into intuitive visuals. Basic understanding of front-end development (React, TypeScript). Excellent written and verbal communication. Who This Is For Let's be direct. How You'll Grow As the first designer at Halfmore, you will: Own and define our product design direction end to end. Shape the brand and voice of a category-defining company. Partner with founders to influence product strategy and roadmap. Build the foundation for a design team as we scale nationally.
