As a Security Officer in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a financial institution location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents through a strong visible presence. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $27.27 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon10:00 PM - 06:00 AMTue10:00 PM - 06:00 AMSat10:00 PM - 06:00 AMSun10:00 PM - 06:00 AM What You'll Do: • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial institution location. • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating relevant information to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership. • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the banking location, including lobbies, entrances, offices, parking areas, and perimeter points, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify concerns. • Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, helping to confirm that authorized individuals are admitted while reporting suspicious behavior and/or policy violations. • Support opening and closing activities, observe after-hours conditions, and report maintenance issues, hazards, and/or security-related concerns that may impact daily operations. Minimum Requirements: • Possess at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience. • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client. • Be at least 21 years of age. • Alarm panel experience is preferred. • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred. • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
