Content Creator & Videographer

Gunnies is looking for a creative and motivated Videographer to help us tell our story and showcase our products. We need someone who can capture high-quality footage of our firearms, outdoor gear, and apparel to create engaging content for our social media platforms and YouTube channel. This role offers a unique opportunity to work directly with the industry's top brands in a retail environment. You will report directly to the Marketing Manager and play a key role in making a small local business look polished, credible, and professional. If you are a student, we are happy to coordinate with your university to fulfill internship credit requirements. Key Responsibilities • Collaborative Content Creation: Work closely with the Marketing Manager to brainstorm creative direction and strategic content ideas before filming begins. • Production: Film and edit both long-form and short-form video content featuring firearms, ammunition, clothing, footwear and accessories. This includes "unboxings," new product reveals, limited edition spotlights, new arrivals, etc. • Department Collaboration: Work closely with products and staff across various departments, including the gun counter and clothing, to capture the full scope of our inventory. • Social Media Strategy: Maintain content standards and monitor social media trends to keep our platforms engaging. You will repurpose content for different platforms while maintaining a professional brand voice. • Technical Execution: Demonstrate a strong understanding of lighting, audio, cinematography, framing, and visual storytelling. • Post-Production: Handle video editing, file organization, and the addition of graphic overlays to ensure high-quality final products. We use Canva, and Google drive to manage content. Required Qualifications • Firearm Knowledge: You must have experience and comfort handling firearms, ammunition, and related accessories. A strong understanding of YouTube and social media policies regarding weapon-related content is preferred. Safety is our absolute priority. • Technical Proficiency: Proven experience in filming and editing with a focus on polished visual storytelling. Familiarity with camera gear and editing software is required. • Creative Mindset: We want a collaborative environment. You should bring your own creative ideas and be willing to contribute to the overall marketing strategy. • Professionalism & Organization: Must be able to take direction, hit deadlines, work independently, and communicate professionally with staff. • Reliability: You must be 21 years of age or older and able to work on-site at our Orem location.
